ScienceLive – Alcator’s Greenwald discusses cuts on webcast

On Feb. 23,  Martin Greenwald, a senior research scientist on Alcator C-mod, and Michael Zarnstorff, deputy director of research at the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory answered questions from the public about fusion in a live web-chat moderated by Daniel Clery.  Greenwald and Zarnstorff fielded a wide array of questions, ranging from inquiries about the safety and economic feasibility of fusion to questions about what the United States should do to remain competitive in the field.  Read the full transcript below.
